Field Trips

GSA field trips bring geoscience to life, taking you directly into the landscapes that shape our understanding of Earth. Led by experts, these experiences offer hands-on examination of rock formations, processes, and geologic history—from classic sites to cutting-edge research locations—fostering collaboration and deeper insight into the dynamic systems that shape our planet.

EarthCache

GSA's EarthCache program transforms real-world locations into interactive geoscience experiences, guiding participants to unique geologic sites around the world. Through simple, place-based activities, EarthCache encourages exploration, observation, and learning—making geology accessible to anyone with curiosity and deepening understanding of how Earth's features formed and why they matter.

Science Policy Engagement

Put your expertise to work shaping science policy. Through Geoscience Congressional Visits Day (GEO-CVD), policy fellowships, and science-based position statements, GSA connects geoscientists with decision-makers on critical issues - from natural hazards to climate and resources.
